[Press][Herald Business] Morphine Found in Jonggak Crash Driver – Interview with Shin Min-young

In a recent three-vehicle collision near Jonggak Station in Seoul, morphine was detected in the taxi driver, raising the issue of drug-impaired driving. Shin Min-young, Managing Partner of Jinheon Law Firm, provided a legal assessment of the case.

Attorney Shin stated:

“This case may fall under ‘dangerous driving causing death or injury’ under the Aggravated Punishment Act for Specific Crimes.
The interpretation of dangerous driving is expanding beyond alcohol to include drugs, particularly narcotics,”
adding, “whether the accident occurred while normal driving was impossible will be the key factor in warrant determination.”
