Shin Min-young, Managing Partner at Jinheon Law Firm, stated in a media interview that intentionally damaging a snowman created for promotional display in front of a store could constitute the crime of property damage.

Attorney Shin explained that, unlike a snowman left unattended on the roadside, a display made for promotional purposes may be recognized as having ownership and economic value. He also noted that if a snowman is deliberately created with the intent to injure someone, the crime of bodily injury could potentially apply, although proving such intent would not be easy.
